Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TaxiApps processes personal data when providing the TaxiApps website, Passenger App, Web Booker, Venue Portal, Mobile Dispatch Platform, onboarding tools, integrations, and other hosted services for taxi and private hire operators.

Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to visitors to the TaxiApps website, operators using TaxiApps products, passengers or end users interacting with operator-configured booking flows, and staff members who sign in to TaxiApps-hosted portals, apps, or operational tools.

What data we process

Depending on the product and workflow used, TaxiApps may process:

  • account details such as name, email address, role, phone number, and company name
  • operator configuration data such as customer code, branding, dispatch platform settings, venue or property setup, payment setup, and linked product configuration
  • booking and operational data such as pickup and drop-off details, passenger name when supplied by the operator, venue details, booking references, quoted prices, fares, dispatch statuses, and driver-assignment information
  • staff login and session data needed to keep TaxiApps portals, apps, and operator tools secure
  • technical information such as browser type, device type, app version, IP address, and service logs used for reliability, diagnostics, and security monitoring

How we use the data

TaxiApps uses personal and operational data to:

  • provide TaxiApps services to taxi operators, their staff, and their end users across website widgets, portals, and apps
  • authenticate users and keep operator accounts secure
  • display tenant-specific branding, venue branding, dispatch-company branding, and product configuration within TaxiApps experiences
  • retrieve, display, update, and manage booking, dispatch, venue, payment, and driver workflow information
  • support onboarding, deployment, billing, troubleshooting, and customer support
  • detect abuse, fraud, misuse, or service issues and protect the security of the platform

Website, portals, and app experiences

TaxiApps may provide operator and passenger-facing journeys through public web pages, web bookers, booking portals, progressive web apps, and packaged mobile apps. These experiences can store limited local session or routing data on the device or browser, such as login state, customer code, or tenant route details, so the correct TaxiApps service can reopen securely and consistently.

Where a specific app build does not request sensitive device permissions, it will rely mainly on hosted service data and standard web or app session behaviour to operate.

How data is shared

TaxiApps may share data only where needed to provide the service, such as with:

  • the relevant taxi operator, venue account, property account, or reseller administering the service
  • dispatch platform integrations configured by the operator, such as iCabbi or CabDispatch workflows
  • service providers used for hosting, infrastructure, monitoring, mapping, email delivery, or payment-related processes
  • regulators, courts, or law enforcement where required by applicable law

Data retention

TaxiApps keeps data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the platform, maintain security, support legal, operational, or billing records, and meet contractual obligations with operators. Retention periods can vary depending on the product, the operator relationship, the type of booking workflow involved, and legal requirements.

Security

TaxiApps uses technical and organisational measures intended to protect data against unauthorised access, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or loss. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to maintain appropriate safeguards for hosted operator data, end-user booking data, and authenticated account access.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the laws that apply, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection in relation to personal data. Because TaxiApps often acts as a service provider to the operator using the platform, some requests may need to be handled in coordination with the relevant taxi operator, venue account owner, or reseller account owner.

Contact

If you have a privacy question about TaxiApps, any TaxiApps app, or any TaxiApps-hosted portal or booking flow, contact us through the TaxiApps contact page and include enough detail for us to identify the operator account, product, or booking journey involved.
